Jackson Part of the Environment Agency’s NGSA

Jackson is one of only six contractors to be appointed to the Environment Agency’s Next Generation Supplier Arrangements (NGSA).

The company will work in partnership with the Environment Agency and design consultant ARUP as a collaborative delivery team (CDT) to deliver the EA’s capital investment program across the entire Midlands region, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

The Jackson – ARUP partnership is one of six regional CDTs which have been appointed under the NGSA, which will run for the next four years, with the option to extend to 2027.

Jackson’s Framework Manager Richard Barnes said: “We’re thrilled to be part of the EA’s new framework which has ambitious plans for sustainable development and new ways of working. Jackson has been working with the Environment Agency since 2001, so we’re really proud to continue that relationship, and looking forward to working closely with our delivery partners ARUP.

The EA’s new approach is a hugely positive step, not just for flood and coastal risk management, but also for the construction industry as a whole, and working together as fully integrated, long-term delivery partners, we’ll be able to provide more sustainable construction solutions to better protect communities from flooding,” Richard Barnes added.

Toby Willison, Executive Director of Operations at the Environment Agency, said: “This ambitious new framework will help us to continue to deliver our £2.6 billion flood and coastal defense program in a way which ensures that sustainability, efficiency and value for money remain at the very heart of the work we do to protect people, homes and the environment.
