The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) has announced that the Dredging and Reclamation Seminar at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in Delft, the Netherlands, will take place from Monday, 24 June, to Friday, 28 June, 2019.
According to the IADC, this five-day course strives to provide an understanding about dredging and reclamation through lectures by experts in the field and workshops.
The seminar is aimed at (future) decision makers and their advisers in governments, port and harbor authorities, off-shore companies and other organisations that have to execute dredging projects.
The seminar includes an on-site visit to provide the students with a hands-on experience. Some of the subjects that will be covered during the seminar includes: the development of new ports and maintenance of existing ports; project phasing; descriptions of types of dredging equipment; costing of projects; and types of dredging projects.
