According to CRMC, the services under this contract will consist primarily of work plan development and dredging of the Woonasquatucket River and the Providence River within the City of Providence, RI.

The Waterfire Dredging Project includes dredging of approximately 22,000 cubic yards of sandy material from the two rivers.

CRMC officials anticipate that the work will be accomplished with hydraulic dredges that can fit under the low clearance bridges and maneuver in the tight confines on their own.

According to the official announcement, contractors are free to propose any method of dredging in their work plan.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference at the intersection of Dyer Street and Dorrance Street in Providence, RI, on June 25th at 12:30 PM.

The deadline for sending bids for the Waterfire Dredging Project is July 12, 2019.
