Collier County Study on Display

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the non-Federal Sponsor, Collier County, Florida, are about to hold an informational public meeting on the Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study.

USACE and the county will host the meeting September 9, from 5-7 p.m., at the Collier County Administrative Building, 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Bldg. F, 3rd Floor, Naples, FL 34112.

As reported, a presentation on the study will start at 5 p.m. followed by time to review study poster boards and ask questions about the study.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the project alternatives and to make comments on the alternatives or the feasibility study, reported the Corps.

The USACE plans to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate environmental impacts from reasonable project alternatives and to determine the potential for significant impacts.

The deadline for sending comments on the Collier County study is October 12, 2019.
