The requirement of this project is to rehabilitate the South Jetty located at the Mouth of the Columbia River in Clatsop County, Oregon.

The repairs consist of procurement and delivery of approximately 400,000 tons of 4 to 44 ton jetty armor stones and subsequent placement of those stones individually along the identified repair areas.

Approximately 20% of the stone will be high-density stone with a minimum unit weight of 180 lbs per cubic foot. Major haul road construction, including filling large voids, is anticipated to gain access to all jetty repair areas.

The stone placement work is to be carried out between July 2019 and October 2024. Storm activity generally limits stone placement to between May and October and is constrained further at the outer ends of the jetty.

Since 2015, J.E. McAmis has been awarded three of the last four major jetty contracts at the Mouth of the Columbia River.
