Bids Invited for Cascadilla Dredging

Sealed bids for Cascadilla Creek Dredging in the City of Ithaca, NY, will be received by the Office of the City Controller until 2:00PM local time, Thursday, November 21, the New York State Government reports.

In general, the project consists of the following:

  • maintainence dredging of approximately 12,800 cubic yards of sediment from Cascadilla Creek between the Cayuga Waterfront Trail pedestrian bridge and the Cayuga Inlet;
  • dewatering the dredged sediment on private land immediately adjacent to the segment of creek;
  • disposing of dewatered sediment at upland sites as General Fill in accordance with a NYSDEC Beneficial Use Determination.

“The contract documents may be inspected at the office of the City Superintendent of Public Works and the office of the Engineer,” said NYS Government in its announcement.

“All bids must be made on the official bid forms, and be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond, payable to the City of Ithaca, in the amount equal to 5% of the base bid.”

According to their official announcement, the city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the owner.
