International Association of Dredging Companies – the global umbrella organisation for contractors in the private dredging industry – will present the IADC Young Author Award at the CEDA Dredging Days, 8 November 2019, Rotterdam Ahoy, the Netherlands.
To stimulate the promotion of new ideas and encourage the young men or women in the dredging industry and its related fields, the IADC instituted the IADC Young Author Award.
Each year at selected conferences, the IADC grants the award to the best paper written and presented by authors younger than 35 years of age.
In each case, the Conference Paper Committee recommends a winner whose paper makes a significant contribution to the literature on dredging and related fields.
The winning author receives a prize – a statue and €1,000 – and the paper is published in Terra et Aqua, IADC’s quarterly journal.
