The combined transport of two cutter suction dredgers type CSD500, a floating booster station BS500 and containers with auxiliaries has arrived at its transit point, Damen reports.
Now, the complete units are hoisted onto a transport vessel as deck load.
The max dredging depth of a CSD500 is -14m.
With the additional spud carriage pontoons, the swing width of the CSDs is some impressive 60m – set to clean a navigation channel in one sweep.
The dredgers will work together on a large scale dredging project in Asia.
