In the video, Carteret County Shore Protection Manager, Greg “Rudi” Rudolph, provides an March 17 update concerning the ongoing dredging work in Emerald Isle.
The Ellis Island, the largest hopper dredge in the U.S., is now working in the area in conjunction with the Liberty Island.
This means that beach material is being pumped out on two locations along the beach strand.
