The Florence Renourishment Project – Phase III continues in Emerald Isle, NC, through April 2021.
This video, filmed near Bryan Street yesterday, shows heavy machinery moving around the dredging materials that were pumped onto the beach strand.
According to the latest project update, the hopper dredge Liberty Island is continuing the pumping operations westward from Rhett Street on “Line 4” to tie in with the beach fill at Elizabeth Street.
After refueling on Sunday, the Ellis Island is now working from “Line 5” at 14th Street, heading east towards the lower number street.
