Rohde Nielsen A/S has just posted a beautiful photo of the hopper dredger ‘Viking R’ working in the Republic of Guyana.
From 2011 to 2020 Rohde Nielsen A/S performed continuous maintenance dredging on the Berbice River, Republic of Guyana.
The works were part of a long-term charter contract for continuous maintenance dredging of the entrance channel, loading- and turning basins in Berbice River. The contract also included survey operations.
On average, the ‘Viking R’ removed 10 million m3 of silt annually by sidecasting and split-dumping. The overall scope of the works was 90 million m3.
