Moscow dredging congress starting next week

Next week, the 5th International Congress “Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging” will take place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

This dredging congress, which is a unique and highly acclaimed industry focused platform annually gathering stakeholders of hydraulic engineering and dredging works, will be held in mixed online/in-person format on 16-17 February 2022.

The event is organized by Russia’s media group PortNews in partnership with FSUE Rosmorport and with the support of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot), Rosatom, International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC), Boskalis, Damen, Van Oord, etc.

According to PortNews, Organizing Committee of the Congress continues registration of online delegates and the number of online participants is unlimited. Registration of in-person participants for the first day of the Congress is closed with 15 seats still available for the second day of the event.

As in previous years, FSUE Rosmorport and FSUE Hydrographic Company (a company of Rosatom) will share their annual plans at the event including major dredging projects like the one in the Bechevinskaya Bay under NOVATEK’s Arctic Transshipment project; large-scale dredging works in the port of Ust-Luga for the terminal of Novotrans; construction of new port facilities in the Gulf of Ob; and many more.

Hydraulic engineering will also be on the Congress agenda. In the segment of inland water ways, the highest interest is focused on the construction of the Bagayevsky and the Gorodesky systems
