WEDA’s 2022 Pacific Chapter Meeting coming soon

Two weeks from now, the 2022 WEDA Pacific Chapter Meeting will be held in downtown San Francisco.

The meeting is taking place at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA from Wednesday, October 26th to 28th, 2022.

As in the previous years, the conference is aimed at encouraging dialog between the dredging contractor, regulatory, port operator, and consultant communities.

Presentations on all aspects of dredging and disposal, navigation structures, environmental restoration, and related topics specifically relevant to West Coast issues or projects will be presented during the show.

Pacific Chapter WEDA Fall 2022 Meeting Tentative Agenda:

  • Wednesday, WEDA is offering the Dredging 101 Short Course from 8 a.m. to noon and followed by sessions to include a closed Ports meeting from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., the Corps/Industry Partnering from 1 to 2 p.m., the USACE 2022/23 Federal Dredging Program presentation from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Safety Presentations and Discussion Panel from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and the signature Hosted Ice Breaker Social and Poster Session from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday’s agenda will consist of technical presentations featuring Navigation and Regional Dredging Projects in the morning, followed by a luncheon program with a keynote speaker. In the afternoon, WEDA will resume the meeting on a Hornblower Cruise at Pier 3 for the technical session on Beneficial Reuse with special presentations about the Port of Oakland and a tour of San Francisco Bay sponsored by the Port of Oakland.
  • Friday will continue with the Women of WEDA Breakfast, followed by a special Regulatory Discussion Panel in the morning, followed by technical presentations related to Environmental and Remediation Dredging, and conclude with chapter business in the early afternoon.
