WEDA’s 2023 Midwest Chapter Meeting

The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) is now accepting abstracts for the Midwest Chapter 2023 conference.

According to WEDA, authors can submit their abstracts for a technical presentation at Midwest Chapter until December 1st.

As in previous years, the Midwest Chapter meeting will offer individuals and firms an opportunity to make presentations in the following areas: sediment investigation, environmental dredging, navigational dredging, coast/shoreline protection and restoration, sediment management and re-use, surveying, etc.

The meeting will be held in downtown Louisville, KY, at the historic Brown Hotel from Tuesday, Feb. 21 to 23rd, 2023.

The tentative schedule will be:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 21: Dredging 101 course from 1 to 5 PM, followed by an Ice Breaker Reception at the hotel at 6:00 PM;
  • Wednesday, Feb. 22: Presentations in the morning, lunch & tour at the world-famous Churchill Downs in the afternoon;
  • Thursday, Feb. 23: Presentations in the morning, followed by the Midwest Membership meeting. The conference ends around noon.
