Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Central America, Christine Pirenne , yesterday toured the dredging vessel Elbe, owned by Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging.
Built by Royal IHC , the tralling suction hopper dredger (TSHD) is currently is dredging Caldera Harbor in Costa Rica.
The total scope of activities consists of dredging, surveying and related marine operations in the fullest sense.
Having a small manouvarable dredge allows continued port operations, saving time and costs, said the Embassy.
Desiree Hagenaars , the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Costa Rica, also attended the tour.
