The Dutra Group has won the Sacramento River Erosion Contract 2 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District.
This contract was awarded at $77,846,550.
According to Dutra, the work will provide 3 miles of waterside erosion protection along the east side of the Sacramento River from the Pioneer Bridge to the south end of the Pocket neighborhood.
Also, barges will be utilized to transport and place the rock for erosion protection to help minimize the impact to the local community.
In-stream woody material and planting benches will also be constructed to create habitat for native species.
