Gloucester Dock’s biggest ever winter dredging is currently underway – with Bell Dredging Equipment.

“Through our U.K. dealer Watson and Hillhouse, Bell supplied two sets of Bell 200 pumps complete with power packs and floating discharge lines,” the Dutch based manufacturer of dredging equipment said.

Due to drought in the past year, sediment had built up in the docks making it impossible for vessels to navigate.

One excavator mounted Bell 200 dredge pump was fitted with a water jet assisted cutter head, while the other Bell 200 was suspended from a crane and thus fitted with a double cutter head.
