Holland Dredge Design (HDD) has delivered and mounted a new draghead on a sea hopper dredger.
This piece of equipment is equipped with replaceable nozzle’s, plates and teeth.
“On the visor, we also made stainless steel plates for protection of the rubber,” HDD said.
“With this draghead, we managed to reduce a loading time by 30 percent.”
Holland Dredge Design said that they can deliver all components for trailing hopper dredgers. It is therefore possible to transform an existing ship into a hopper dredger.
“We cooperate with several shipyards in the Netherlands for the transformation,” said HDD.
