Eagle Dynamic Solutions of Evans, Georgia, recently took delivery of their second Mud Cat® 115D after their first Mud Cat 115D was a complete success for their dredging operations.

In addition to the purchase of another Mud Cat 115D, Eagle also purchased a patented WeedMaster® Cutterhead for converting their existing Mud Cat 115D to a hydraulic weed harvester.

“We bought our first Mud Cat 115D in January 2022. We have used it to pump biosolids from paper manufacturing process, alum sludge from water treatment, and a mixture of sand and sediment from a raw water pumping source,” said Evan Morgan , Director of Sales, Eagle Dynamic Solutions.

“Our operators say the machine runs smoothly in all applications. We have not needed a booster pump and in most cases are pumping greater than 1,000 ft. (305m). The machine is easy to move and doesn’t require a large crane. We have yet to experience any equipment failures on our MC 115D dredges so far.”

After achieving success with their first MC 115D, Eagle once again opted for EDT to install a Krohne flow meter and Mud Cat’s Autec radio remote control with digital depth gauge which provides flexibility to work in toxic ponds where it is not safe for personnel to be on the dredge.

The WeedMaster technology, originally an IMS brand product, has been added as an optional feature to all new Mud Cat diesel dredges starting in 2023.

Other features include Mud Cat’s Transport – Launch – Retrieve (TLR) Trailer which allows the dredge to be easily transported and launched without a crane.
