Reclaiming new land at Kunburudhoo, Maldives

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) released the latest update on the Adh. Kunburudhoo Shore Protection Project yesterday.

According to MTCC, the dredging and land reclamation operations are ongoing with 52% completion so far.

Scope of works will include:

• dredging and reclamation operations – 24,000 cbm,

• construction of a 430m rockboulder revetment,

• a 185m geotube revetment;

• beach replenishment operations – 7,171 cbm.

The value of the project is MVR 21.2 million ($1.4 million).
