The Split Hopper Barge ‘Sandsend’ has arrived in Eyemouth Harbour to carry out the Spring dredging campaign.
According to the Harbour Trust, the Sandsend is currently dredging the entrance canyon, after which she will move to the Gunsgreen basin and other areas of the harbour.
“Mariners are advised that temporary restrictions to vessel movements may occur and that they should navigate with caution,” the Harbour said. “A berth at the west side of Gunsgreen basin on the old fuel jetty will be reserved for the dredger.”
Dredging operations at Eyemouth Harbour will last for approximately 6 weeks.
