Coast Guard Werribee, VIC, Australia, has just released the latest update on the Werribee South – River Entrance – Maintenance Dredging Program.

“Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging operations occurring at the entrance to Werribee River,” according to their official announcement.

Works will also include the removal of sand from around Werribee South Jetty.

Boat ramp facilities should not be affected during this time.

Dredging operations are being carried out by an excavator. Dredged material from this project will be deposited on the beach, north east of the River entrance.

“Mariners are reminded to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the dredging works,” Coast Guard Werribee said.
