The Asia’s largest trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Jun Yang 1 is currently busy working at the Huizhou Port.

According to the People’s Daily, China , this is vessel’s first domestic task after completing a 22-month mission along the Belt and Road.

The Port of Huizhou is a natural coastal port located on Huizhou, Guangdong, immediately east of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It opens into the Daya Bay.

The giant dredger was built by Royal IHC for CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd (GDC).

This is the 19th vessel built by the Dutch company for GDC over the last 40 years.
