The Maldives’ Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure has awarded contracts to two companies to conduct a survey and environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the airport development project in F. Nilandhoo.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has won the contract to conduct the survey and EIA for the land reclamation required for the Nilandhoo airport development project.

The Road Development Corporation (RDC) will conduct the survey and EIA for the Villimale’ road development project.

The contract to conduct the survey and EIA for the Villimale’ road development project was signed by Minister of State Ibrahim Thoaam Mohamed and Managing Director of RDC Brigadier General (retired) Ali Zuhair.

At the signing ceremony, Minister Dr. Abdulla Muhthalib said that the survey and EIA is scheduled to be completed within 120 days.
