ROHR-IDRECO Dredge Systems has successfully completed Factory Acceptance Test for the zero-emission large Cutter Suction Dredge type “Falcon”.

After this the dredge will be disassembled in an eight-day process and shipped to the overseas mining site in modular blocks and containers, for quick local re-assembly.

The fully-electric dredger will be used for the mining of industrial sands in one of the largest sites of this kind in the United States.

The Falcon type dredger has a dredging depth of 25 meters (80 feet) and is equipped with the proprietary 450 mm (18 inch) underwater IDRECO iPump.

The dredger is also equipped with the Eyes Underwater® DGPS system and Making Waves® remote control and monitoring system, which allow a very high degree of automation and even autonomy for optimized 24/7 mining operations.
