KODIAK to monitor dredging activities off the Belgian coast

KODIAK GmbH has been selected as the exclusive supplier for quality control (QC) inspection, health, safety, and environment (HSE) and client representative services for the civil engineering works of the world’s Energy Island project, the Princess Elisabeth Island in the North Sea.

In this collaboration, KODIAK will perform QC inspection to maintain quality standards and provide HSE services for health and safety compliance during concrete caisson fabrication.

KODIAK will furthermore provide client representative services to monitor marine activities such as dredging or rock dumping related to construction of the island which will also integrate future interconnectors with the United Kingdom and Denmark.

The Princess Elisabeth Island will be a key factor in both Europe’s energy transition, as it will give access to massive amounts of renewable energy, making millions of people less dependent on fossil fuels.

As part of the joint venture TM EDISON, Jan De Nul Group will join forces to build the energy island for transmission system operator Elia.
