Sorensen Civil Engineering recently completed the Smooth Point Pier Extension project at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Ireland.

The project – which was delivered on behalf of the client, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine – involved the completion of a new 120m long quay development at Smooth Point.

The works also included dredging in excess of 10,000 cubic meters of rock from the bed of the harbor.

The new quay and dredging will alleviate congestion during the peak fishing season.
