The City of Sanibel, Florida, said that dredging will begin on the entrance channel to the Shell Harbor subdivision today.

According to the City, the work will take a few weeks to complete.

“ The channel will remain open for use during dredging, however, there may be short periods of time when boat traffic will need to be stopped ,” said the City.

Also, the back section of the Sanibel Boat Ramp Parking Lot will be closed during the project.

Boat trailer parking spaces will not be impacted, the City added.
