Mason Contractors Ltd has just released the latest update on their work from the Westhaven seawall project in New Zealand.

“ With the help of sister company Clearwater Dredging, and our friends at McCallum bros, we’re working with JFC Contractors to supply and place 9000ton of rock armouring on top of the existing wall to prevent against future flooding and rising sea levels ,” said the company.

Site restrictions mean all works must be done from the ocean.

“ McCallums barge is transporting our bulk rock to site, and unloading onto Clearwater Barge ,” said Mason.

“With the shallow waters, Clearwater Barge is able to stay in close to shore allowing us to individually place each rock at all tides.”
