Dutra nets contract to dredge Tampa Harbor

The Dutra Group on Monday won a $9.3 million Army Corps contract for maintenance dredging work in Tampa Harbor, Florida.

According to the Corps, the project consists of maintenance dredging within Tampa Harbor, particularly maintenance of the Cut-C (HB).

Dredge areas will incorporate 1 foot of allowable over depth. All dredged material is to be placed in the Alafia Banks Placement Area.

Additional work includes turbidity monitoring, sea turtle trawl sweeping and relocation, bird monitoring and environmental species monitoring.

The Tampa Harbor maintenance dredging project has an estimated completion date of August 4, 2025.
