Crews from Envisan, the environmental subsidiary of Jan De Nul, are currently very busy working in an old town in Belgium.
Their latest task includes removing the old foundations and rocks to create a safer passage for river traffic.
Jan De Nul said in its official statement that “ our client SPW – Service Public de Wallonie set us this challenge for the old town Huy in Belgium. There’s little we like more than solving a good problem. So our environmental department Envisan immediately said yes .”
Huy is a city and municipality of Wallonia, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. Huy lies along the River Meuse, at the mouth of the small river Hoyoux.
Also, it is in the Sillon industriel, the former industrial backbone of Wallonia.
