Foyle and Marine Dredging (FMD) has won the largest contract to date as Main Contractor by Argyll and Bute Council.

This landmark project will involve vital infrastructure works at Baile Mòr, Iona, including:

– Construction of a breakwater,

– Completion of lower slipway improvements, etc.

A key highlight of this project is the delivery of over 120,000 tonnes of rock to the remote island location by sea.

According to FMD, their team will bring its expertise in marine engineering and dredging to this crucial project, which will enhance the infrastructure and access for the local community and visitors to Iona.
