The Navarre Beach Restoration Project continues to make steady progress along the beach, Santa Rosa County said
The project began on Monday, December 23 on the west end of Navarre Beach. Phase 1 is expected to be completed by the weekend and Phase 2 is already complete.
Restoration is expected to begin within Phase 3 of the project by late this week, the county said.
The roughly $11.5 million program is funded largely through FEMA and state grants, with the county contributing about $3.8 million.
According to the county, the work is expected to be completed by the end of February, just in time for spring break.
