The Boskalis’ trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Willem van Oranje has left the drydock in Singapore and is getting ready for her next job.
Last week, the giant TSHD left the anchorage in Singapore and set course to Sohar in Oman. It is expected to arrive there on February 10.
The dredger, built in 2010, is currently sailing under the flag of Cyprus.
Recently, the Willem van Oranje wrapped up a significant and extended deployment in the Maldives, marking a crucial milestone in the region’s ongoing land development efforts.
For this capital project, the TSHD delivered millions of cubic meters of sand to several key islands, including Hulhumalé, Thilafushi, Giraavaru, and Fushidiggaru Falhu.
