According to USACE, the dredger will be pumping material into approved open-water placement sites located adjacent to the channel.

Dredging activities are expected to continue for approximately two months.

The USACE Mobile District manages the Pascagoula Harbor Federal Navigation Project, handling critical maintenance dredging to maintain depths of -42 feet.

Maintenance dredging removes accumulated silts/sands, disposing of material at sites like the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS) south of Horn Island.
