Rohde Nielsen has completed maintenance dredging works at the Port of Geraldton, Western Australia, for Mid West Ports Authority.
The project included the removal of unconsolidated materials from the new Berth 1 development area, as part of the ongoing Geraldton Port Maximization Project (PMAXP).
Additional works included maintenance dredging of the Entrance Channel, and Inner Harbor Basin and Berth Pockets to maintain declared depths.
The campaign was undertaken by the split trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Modi R, supported by RN engaged sub-contractors for seabed levelling, onshore reclamation management, hydrographic survey, and marine fauna observation works.
