The Port of Figueira da Foz, Portugal, has kicked off the dredging operations on the Doca dos Bacalhoeiros' access channel.
In total, approximately 20,000 m³ of sediment will be dredged and subsequently transported for deposition in the Cova-Gala authorized area.
The cleanup program, to be carried out by the hopper dredger Desterro, is set to last about 40 days.
This EUR 240,000 dredging work will be conducted by Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A..
