Electric Power Plants OJSC has invited bids for dredging equipment and related services for the Uch-Kurgan hydroelectric plant modernization project in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The contract covers the supply and delivery of dredging equipment and pipelines to pump removed sediment to a temporary storage site. Associated services include training plant personnel in equipment operation and maintenance, test dredging in an area adjacent to the dam, and services required under the project’s initial environmental impact assessment.
The Asian Development Bank-financed procurement aims to restore some of the reservoir capacity lost to sediment accumulation since the plant began operating in 1962, supporting its efficiency and safety.
Located at Shamaldy-Sai, approximately 270km southwest of Bishkek near the border with Uzbekistan, Uch-Kurgan hydroelectric plant is a run-of-river plant and was the first power station in the Naryn River hydropower cascade.
According to OJSC, proposals must be submitted by 14:00 local time on November 25, 2026.
