Keyfield has taken delivery of the Inai Kenanga, a mega trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) and the largest vessel in its fleet to date, marking company's first foray into the dredging industry.
With a hopper capacity of 32,205 m³, the vessel is equipped to support large-scale dredging works, land reclamation, waterways maintenance as well as the coastal development projects.
"The acquisition of Inai Kenanga represents another step in our expansion strategy beyond the oil and gas sector, strengthening our marine capabilities as we continue to evolve into a multi-spectrum marine solutions provider across the region and beyond," Keyfield said.
Keyfield acquired the giant TSHD for $24.7 million in August this year. Built in 2016, the Inai Kenanga was – at the time – the largest dredger in Asia and the third-largest in the world.
