USA: Orion Marine Group Announces a Contract Award of Approximately $11 Million

Orion Marine Group, Inc., a leading heavy civil marine contractor serving the infrastructure sector, today announced a contract award of approximately $11 million.

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, F. Miller Construction, LLC., was recently awarded a hurricane protection project in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project consists of improvements to the existing frontal hurricane protection at Belle Chase No. 2 Pump Station including new pile supported concrete floodwall structures, extensions of existing pump discharge pipes, and related mechanical, electrical and site modifications.

Onsite construction of the project is expected to commence during the first quarter of 2011 and last approximately 18 months.
