Belgium: Naming Ceremony for TSHD and Fall pipe Vessel Scheduled for July 8

The DEME Group and its offshore specialist TIDEWAY announced press conference that will take place on the occasion of the naming of the new mega trailing suction hopper dredger “Congo River” (hopper capacity 30,000 m3) and the DP2 fallpipe vessel “Flintstone, a unique vessel that will perform accurate stone dumping for the protection and stabilisation of offshore structures to depths of 2000 m.

The press conference will be followed by a guided visit on board, together with the double naming ceremony and academic session starting at 2.30 p.m.

DEME confirmed that two “golden ladies” of Belgian sports, Justine Henin and Tia Hellebaut , have accepted to be the godmothers respectively of the “ Congo River ” and the “ Flintstone “.
