Greece: Vassiliki Marina Development Plan Includes Dredging

Dimos LeykadasGR has invited bidders to submit their offers for the construction of a leisure marina in Vassiliki in the northeastern part of the Royal Bay, in the southwestern part of the island of Lefkada.

The project includes:

– Construction of windward quay with hardcore and rock fill by natural boulders;

– Construction of leeward pier:

a) quay (length 62.80m of core and rock fills by armourstone),

b) bridging of reinforced concrete (length 61.25m, 10.50m wide),

c) island (constructed with earth fill and bounded by quays in the southwest slope and rock fills shielding the construction),

d) floating breakwater from rock fills core shielded from physical blocks; Installation of mooring marker lights;

– Dredging to a depth of -4.50m;

– Construction of a shore-side building and associated mooring facilities and services.

The value of this contract is 13,170,731 EUR and the tender deadline is August 21, 2012.
