The dredging program at the Saluda Lake is nearing its completion, reports greenvilleonline.com.

According to Joel Ledbetter, general manager of Easley Combined Utilities , this cleanup project should be wrapped up by December 1.

Ledbetter stated that the Saluda Lake dredging project will have an economic benefit for the community, and added: “ It will allow for continued growth here in Easley, residential, commercial and hopefully industrial. If we didn’t have infrastructure and the vital, critical services like water and sewer, you wouldn’t have any growth.”

According to greenvilleonline.com, until today, around 312,000 cubic yards of material has been removed from the lake.
