UAE: ADPC Reveals 3D Technology at Khalifa Port

ADPC showcased some of the world leading technology behind its new AED 26.5 billion (USD 7.2 billion) Khalifa Port, which was formally inaugurated on 12/12/12.

The company displayed its state-of-the-art 3D GIS simulator, used to simulate the movement of consignments within the port, at the 2012 ESRI Middle East and Africa User Conference (MEAUC).

The event at ADNEC was organised in partnership with Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC). The exhibition and conference is one of the world’s leading events of its kind and attracted a wide range of GIS professionals and software users.

Dr Saif Al Ketbi, Vice President, Information Technology, ADPC: “The GIS 3D simulator technology, developed specifically for our needs, provides Khalifa Port with a real hi-tech competitive edge. ”
