New Zealand based company, Heron Construction, have been awarded the Port of Melbourne dredging contract, scheduled to commence in October 2014.

More than 1.8 million cubic metres of material will be dredged with the backhoe Machiavelli.

Heron Construction will work in conjunction with McConnell Dowell who will construct the new automotive wharf and waterside infrastructure at the Port of Melbourne’s Webb Dock.
