The keel laying ceremony of two units of 20″ cutter suction dredgers at the Meghna Yard of Ananda Shipyard & Slipways Ltd. was held yesterday.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) signed two contract agreements with the joint venture organization Ellicott Dredges LLC. and Ananda Shipyard for the manufacture and supply of two sets of 20″ cutter suction dredgers and ancillary equipment and spares.
According to this agreement, two dredgers, including ancillary equipments, will be delivered within 2014.
