Ian Holden, currently Project Surveyor with DOF Subsea in Aberdeen, has been elected Chairman of The Hydrographic Society UK (THS UK) in succession to David Parker, the UKHO’s Hydrography Manager with particular responsibility for its Civil Hydrography Program (CHP).

It is also a founding member of the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) comprising similar organisations in Australasia, Benelux, Denmark, Germany, Italy, South Africa and South Korea.
