Committee Tours Nakhon Phanom Dredging Scheme

A committee, tasked with inspecting local assistance projects, has visited Nakhon Phanom to monitor progress in a canal improvement project, according to the National News Bureau of Thailand.

This committee, led by Adm. Amorntep Na Bangchang, observed the dredging work at two community canals in Na Thom District and Vice-governor Pramual Mungmart briefed the committee members on the upgrade project.

The government has given an emergency budget to Nakhon Phanom to improve water sources and reservoirs to ensure enough water for consumption and agriculture.

The committee earlier this year visited Nakhon Phanom to see how to prioritize the proposed projects.

The canal dredging project was given the green light, as previous surveys showed it could rapidly answer the need of residents.
