The Somerset Council (UK) announced yesterday that dredging operations have commenced in the Watchet Outer Harbor.

According to the Notice to Mariners 05/2024, dredging will be undertaken in the marina gate entrance and in the immediate area in the Outer Harbor from Monday 16th September to Tuesday 24th Sept 2024.

The water injection dredger ‘CMS Innovation’ (LOA 9.6m) is being utilized to complete the Watchet Outer Harbor and Marina Gate Entrance Area dredging operations.

All mariners and other users of the harbor are requested to keep well clear at all times and navigate with extreme caution when entering/exiting the outer harbor.
