A keel laying ceremony for Haropa Port’s new water injection dredger (WID) 2710 took place last week.
"The official start of construction of Haropa Port’s new WID 2710 was marked with a keel laying ceremony at our yard," Neptune Marine said. "In keeping with maritime tradition, a commemorative coin was placed as a symbol of good fortune for the vessel and her future crew."
This project is part of Haropa Port's broader strategy to modernize and decarbonize its maintenance fleet.
The new dredger will be used for the maintenance dredging works along the Seine fairways and basins, including the Port of Le Havre.
